• With the recent Joint Venture, SEV has procured distributorship of Sokon electric vans and OEM of electric two-wheelers for the Thai partner
  • The Thai partner has also offered SEV to be part of the growth and development of their “Silicon Valley of Thailand” which has 83 hectares of land in the vicinity of Rayong province. It is located less than 1.5 hours drive from Bangkok City
  • SEV intends to utilise 6 hectares of this land for research and development of batteries and assembly of electric two-wheelers. SEV already have a group of potential partners from China and Southeast Asia

Sales Forecast for 2023

  • For Sokon vans, the target is 1,000 units. For two-wheelers, the target is 1,500 units for Pattaya, Phuket and Rayong.
  • Battery swap facilities for the two-wheelers will also be provided to the Thai JV in which SEV will be partnering with BAK Power, China.
  • BAK has a history since 2005 and since then BAK has powered more than 170,000 new energy vehicles.
  • SEV management has met the mayor of Pattaya and hotel association of Thailand and they are fully supportive of green and sustainable innovation to support the tourism industry (Please see page 8 for the report from Singapore Straits Times dated 16 September 2022)
